View masking information

A storage volume is an identifiable unit of data storage. Storage groups are sets of volumes.

This procedure explains how to view masking information.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Storage > Storage Groups.
  3. Select a storage group and click An icon showing the letter i to open the Details view.
  4. Click the number next to Volumes.
  5. Select a volume and click An icon showing the letter i to open the Details view.
  6. Click the number next to Masking Info to open the Masking Info view for the volume.
    The following properties display:
    • Director Port—Storage system director and port
    • Identifier—Volume identifier name
    • Type—Director type
    • User Generated Name—User-generated name
    • Logged In—Indicates if the initiator is logged into the host/target.
    • On Fabric—Indicates if the initiator is zoned in and on the fabric.
    • Port Flag Overrides—Indicates if the initiator has overridden any of the port flags: Yes/No
    • FCID LockDown—Indicates if the port lockdown is in effect: Yes/No
    • Heterogeneous Host—Indicates if the host is heterogeneous.
    • LUN Offset—Indicates if the LUN offset is enabled. This feature allows you to skip over masked holes in an array of volumes.
    • Visibility—Indicates if the port is visible to the host.
